When you apply for retirement visa while you are in Thailand, you only get a single entry permit on your passport which allows you to go out and come back to Thailand for only one time.
If you need to get another Retirement visa Re-entry permit, you will need to go to the nearest immigration office and apply for a new one.
There are 2 types of Re-entry permits available for retirement visa in Thailand
The first one is the single Re-Entry permit, which allows you to go out and come in for only one additional time, and it costs 1,000 THB at the immigration office.
The second type is the multiple retirement visa Re entry permit which allows you to go outside and Re-enter Thailand for multiple times , and it costs 3,800 THB at the immigration office.
How long does it take to get the permit approved?
It gets approved the same day that you apply for it.
What are the documents required to apply for Re Entry Permit in Thailand?
- Original passport
- A copy of your passport
- TM8 FORM
- 1 personal Photo (size 4×6)
- TM6 FORM if you arrive before the second of July
If you apply for retirement visa from overseas (Non immigrant OA), You can request for a multi entry visa from the embassy. In that case you will not need to apply for Re-entry permits or go to immigration offices when you are in Thailand.
