Other than the Normal Thailand retirement visa, there is another visa type called Non Immigrant OX. This Type is giving you more benefits than the Standard Popular retirement visa. However, it’s not applicable for everyone and it’s requirements are harder than the normal retirement visa type.
Who Can Apply for Thailand Retirement Visa OX?
Same as the standard retirement visa, Applicants must be over 50 years old to be able to apply. However, it’s only possible for 14 Nationalities to apply for this Visa Type. These nationalities are:
- Australia
- Japan
- Germany
- Denmark
- Finland
- France
- Italy
- Netherlands
- United Kingdom
- Norway
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- Canada
- United States.
Validity of OX Visa
The Non Immigrant OX Visa allows you to Stay in Thailand for 5 Years and you can renew it one additional time for another 5 years, So the Total Possible stay duration in Thailand is 10 years (You will need to go outside of the Kingdom after the first 5 years to be able to come back and stay for the additional 5 years)
Required documents for Applying for OX Visa
All Applicants for the OX Visa will need to be able to present the below Required documents to get their Visa Approved:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the day of application and having at Least 1 Empty Page
- 3 Personal Photos (Passport Size: 2×2 Inches) – Personal Photos have to be taken within maximum 6 months from the day of application.
- Visa applications Filled out Completely (2 Application forms)
- Personal Information Form (with notarized either by a lawyer or notary public)
- Presenting an Official Paper that The Applicant is not having any previous criminal records.
- Medical certificate Proving that the Applicant is not Holding any diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535).
- Bank Statement from a Thai Bank in addition to a Letter of Guarantee from the Bank including the Contact details. This Statement must show a Minimum of 3 Million Thai Baht (This amount will remain in the Bank and will not be withdrawable for One year after getting the visa)
