The Thai Government has Defined four Groups of People who are eligible to Apply for LTR Visa Thailand. These four Groups are: Wealthy Global Citizens, Wealthy Pensioners, Work from Home Thailand Professionals, and Highly Skilled Professionals.

In this article we will be explaining the Criteria that Each Group need to meet to be able to get The LTR Visa Approved.

Four Groups Eligible to Apply for LTR Visa Thailand

Wealthy Global Citizens

The Thai Government Will consider a Citizen as a wealthy Global Citizen if he/she can meet one of the below criteria:

• Having a Proof showing the ownership of Assets equivalent to at least 1 Million US Dollar.
• Earning a Personal Yearly income of at least 80,000 USD per year in the past two years from the time of application
• Having an Investment of a minimum of 500,000 US Dollars in a Thai Property, Thai Government Bonds or Foreign Direct investment (FDI)

In Addition to the Above mentioned requirements, The applicant will need to have a Health insurance with at Least 50,000 US Dollars Coverage or insuring Treatment in Thailand through Social Security or a minimum of 100,000 USD Deposit.

Wealthy Pensioner

Wealthy Pensioners are the Retired People Aged over 50 years old with a Specific income criteria.
The Applicant will be considered as a Wealthy Pensioner if he/she can meet one of the below Points:

• Showing a Proof of having a Personal income equivalent to 80,000 US Dollars per year at the time of application.
• In case the applicant’s Income is less than 80,000 UD Dollars per year but more than 40,000 USD Per year, he/she can Still apply for the LTR Visa, however, will need to invest a minimum amount equivalent to 250,000 US Dollars in Thai Property, Thai Government Bonds, or Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

In Addition to the Above mentioned requirements, The applicant will need to have a Health insurance with at Least 50,000 US Dollars Coverage or insuring Treatment in Thailand through Social Security or a minimum of 100,000 USD Deposit.

Work from Thailand Professional

To be a Part of Work from Thailand Professional’s group, you will need to meet the below criteria:

Personal Income:

• Having a Personal income of a Minimum of 80,000 US Dollars Per year in the last two years from the date of application.
• Or, In case your Yearly personal income is between 40,000 USD and 80,000 USD, You must be able to present one of the Following: a Master Degree or above, Own an Intellectual Property or receive Series A Funding.

Current Employer

You have to be Currently Employed in a Company on a Stock exchange, or Private Company in Operation for a Minimum of 3 Years, with a Total 3 Years revenue Equivalent to at least 150 Million US Dollars.

Experience

Having at Least 5 Years of working Experience in the relevant field.

Insurance

You must have a health insurance Policy covering at Least 50,000 USD or Social Security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or a Minimum of 100,000 US Dollars Deposit.

Highly Skilled Professionals

To be Classified as a Highly Skilled Professional by the Thai Authorities, you must meet the below criteria:

Personal Income

• Having a Personal income of a Minimum of 80,000 US Dollars Per year in the last two years from the date of application.
• Or, In case your Yearly personal income is between 40,000 USD and 80,000 USD, You must be able to present one of the Following: a Master Degree or above in Science and Technology Field, Or having Special Expertise relevant to the Job assigned in Thailand.
• Or, In case you are a Professional working for a Thai Government Agency, There won’t be a Minimum Personal income required.

Current Employer

• The Current Employer is a Business in any Targeted Industries
• Or you are Employed in one of the Following organization Categories: Higher Education institution, research institution, Specialized Training institution, or a Thai Government Agency.

Experience

Having at Least 5 years of Working Experience in the targeted Industries defined by the Thai Government, Except for the Applicants Holding a PHD or above in relevant fields of these Targeted industries, or the applicants are working in a Thai Government Agency.
